Description

Mid-Term Availability (MTA) for the USNS MOUNT BAKER (T-AE 34). The period of performance for this requirement is to start 15 Jan 2007 and end 27 Feb 2007. The area of consideration is CONUS East/Gulf Coast. This is an unrestricted procurement for MSRA holders. The major work items for this repair availability are: 1) Steel renewal in the engine room and pump room; 2) #1 and # 2 main boiler inspection burners and boiler mounts; 3) Renew boiler bottom blow system and partial soot blower piping; 4) Vent cleaning in house, engine room galley and laundries; 5) Cleaning and gas freeing of the forward double bottoms for fork truck guard well gasket renewal; 6) Repair main scoop injection valve and realign scoop injection piping system, coffer dam of hull required. Only written (regular mail or Fed-Ex) requests will be accepted. The estimated issue date for this solicitation is 12 Sep 2006.
