Description

PROJECT NAME: Mo-Kan Farms Wetlands Restoration ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: Between $25,000 and $100,000. LOCATION: Bourbon County, Kansas, Section 24, Township 25(S), Range 25(E). SUMMARY: This project is for the restoration of wetlands under the Wetlands Reserve Program in Bourbon County, Kansas, and Vernon County, Missouri. Work is as detailed in the plans and specifications and includes construction or earthfill dikes including site preparation and installation of in-line water level control structures and pipe, excavation of borrow and shallow depressional areas, seeding of dikes, and associated pollution control measures. QUANTITIES: The project will consist of an estimated 29,076 cubic yards of earthfill, an estimated 21.3 acres of grass seeding, installation of 520 linear feet of 8 inch SDR 35 PVC pipe, installation of 190 linear feet of 15 inch SDR 26 PVC pipe, installation of a water control structure, installation of two (2) 15 foot hinged flap gates, and an estimated 80 hours of depression excavation. TIME FRAMES/DATE: Performance time, including mobilization and days for inclement weather is 90 work days, assuming 10 hour work-days and 5 day work-weeks. Tentative dates for: 1) solicitation, October 19, 2006, and 2) bid opening, November 21, 2006. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Registration can be completed at the CCR Web site at http://www.ccr.gov.
