- This procurement is 100% Set Aside for Small Business Concerns. The NAICS code is 336611 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. NOAA intends to award a firm fixed price contract for the following: NOAA's Marine Operations Center-Pacific has a requirement for a contractor to furnish all plant, labor, and materials required to dock and undock the NOAA Ship FAIRWEATHER (S-220), in a safe and satisfactory manner and perform the work associated services including all inspections and reports outlined and required in detailed specifications. Work requirements include, but are not limited to: Dry-docking, Controllable Pitch Propeller Repairs, ABS Inspection, Inspection & Repair & Preservation of Ships Ground Tackle, Hull Preservation, Doors and Hatches Repairs and Replacements, Ventilation (Inspect and Clean), Design Agent Support, Relocate Aft Capstan Control, Plot Room Head Removal, Deck Coaming Modifications, Deadlight Replacement, Load Tests of Davits, Port Reduction Gear Lube Oil Cooler Sea Water Cooling Piping Replacement, C-09 Drain Repairs, Impressed Current Cathodic Protection System (Inspect & Test), General Requirements, and Utilities and Services. Option Items include, but are not limited to: Additional Work, Lay-days (One Lay-day) Utilities & Services (One Day), Bilge Pumping (1000 Gallons), Open-Pump-Clean Gas Free & Close Tanks, and Zincs. Other option items may include: CTD Winch Slip-ring Interface Cables Installation, Fisheries Winch Slip-ring Interface Cables Installation, Bridge Electronics' Overhead Console Replacement, and Vest Davit Line Pullers Removal. The performance period is 45 calendar days, with an anticipated start date of December 11, 2006 and completion date of January 24, 2007. The anticipated award date is November 27, 2006. Vessel particulars include: Overall Length - 231 ft, Beam Molded Side (Extreme) - 42 ft, Draft (Light Ship) Amidships - 12 ft, Displacement (Light Ship, Condition 0) - 1427 LT.
