Description
The Coast Guard is conducting market research at this time. This is not a request for quote, proposal or bid. The Coast Guard does not intend to pay for the information that is provided for this market research. U.S.Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center Baltimore ELC-025 Market Research Questionnaire Subject: 270? WMEC Auxiliary Sea Water (ASW) Pumps The Coast Guard is investigating the replacement of existing auxiliary seawater pumps on board the 270? WMEC class cutters. This shall include a complete pump unit with the pump and attached electric drive motor mounted on a pump stand as one assembly. 1. Equipment Salient Features: * Pump Type ? Vertical, In-line, Centrifugal * Design Flow (gpm) ? 900 * Design Discharge Head (ft) ? 90 * Maximum NPSHR (ft) ? 22 * Maximum length between inlet and outlet flanges 24.02 inches. * Maximum assembly width (inches) ? 19 * Maximum assembly height (inches) ? 60.5 * Minimum inlet size ? 5? IPS. * Minimum outlet size ? 4? IPS * Fluid Service - Seawater * Motor rating ? 40 HP, 440VAC, 3 phase, 60 hertz, IEEE-45, NEMA MG-1, continuous duty, TEFC, 50 degree C * Materials ? Can you provide any pumps that meet the salient characteristics above and meet the requirements of ASME B73.2? 8. Do your products or components meet any nationally recognized standards, for example ASTM F-998, ASTM F-1511, NEMA MG-1, and NEMA ICS-1? 9. What type of manufacturing or services quality control do you provide? Please provide a copy of the quality control if available. If not available, please explain in detail your standard practices for quality control. 10. What kind of standard testing is performed on your product? Please provide a copy of the standard testing or please explain in detail the type of testing performed. 11. Do you normally provide electronic file copy of drawings on CD in AutoCAD? 12. Do you have a commercial catalog for a related group of products or services? If so, please provide a copy or a web address. 13. Do you have a published price list for your products and/or services? If not, how do you come up with pricing? 14. What type of quantity or other discounts do you offer your customers? 15. Are there any additional charges for special marking, packing and packaging? 16. Do you offer long-term storage? If so, are there any additional charges for the long-term storage? 17. What is your standard warranty terms? Does the warranty period start upon delivery of unit or upon installation of unit? Please provide a copy of the warranty terms. 18. What is the average life span of your product? How long will you support it? 19. What is the lead time for manufacturing and delivering these products? 20. What is your average lead-time for your installation planning and services? 21. Do you provide technical publications, provisioning technical documentation and recommendations for on board repair parts and installation interface drawings commercially? If not commercially, is this something that you can provide? 22. What is your standard packaging and marking? Please provide details. 23. Manufacturers may submit any and all information, literature and documentation that they feel may be beneficial. 24. What are your standard FOB terms? 25. Do you offer on site technical support for installation, crew training, and commissioning services? 26. What is your average lead time for spare parts to cover both routine and casualty repairs? 27.
