Description

The General Services Administration?s Federal Technology Service, Region 5 Chicago, on behalf of the U.S. Air Force Electronic Systems Center (ESC) 642d Electronic Systems Squadron (ELSS) at Hanscom Air Force Base, intends to issue a Request for Proposals to provide Handheld and Desktop Explosion Detection Equipment for approximately 174 Air Force installations, both Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental States (OCONUS). The quantity breakdown of Handheld versus Desktop explosive detection equipment units is expected to be 699 and 353 respectively. It is anticipated that full and open competition will be solicited. The estimated date for release of a solicitation is on or about October 24, 2006. Proposals will be due approximately 30 calendar days after a solicitation is issued (actual date to be determined upon release of the solicitation). All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Copies of the solicitation will only be posted on FEDBIZOPPS.
