Description: The USDA Forest Service, Ottawa National Forest, is advertising for the above project located approximately 5.5 miles south on South Laird Road from the intersection with M-38 (and South Laird Road), south of Alston in Houghton County, in the western upper peninsula of Michigan. Project includes clearing and grubbing, removal of culverts, excavation, silt fence, placing aggregate, backfill material,structural plate pipe arches, riprap, geotextile, and turf establishment. A site visit is scheduled for October 23, 2006, 10:00 a.m. CDT. Work is expected to be completed by August 31, 2007. The estimated price range is between $80,000.00 and $120,000. A bid bond, performance bond, and payment protection is required. The solicitation will be a request for proposal resulting in a best value award. ORCA certification and CCR registration are required.
