Description

DESC: 6130-01-492-3067. The proposed contract is a 100% small business set-aside. The item to procure is an electronic device used to convert Direct Current (DC) electrical power into Alternating Current (AC) electrical power. It is intended for in stallation on military tactical vehicles to provide power for auxiliary equipment. It will receive power from the vehicles 24 volt DC electrical system. The inverter will be used to power electrical appliances such as incandescent lights, and electric h and tools, grinder and drills. The proposed contract will be a 5 Year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, with a minimum guaranteed quantity of 5 and maximum contract quantity of 5,000. FOB is destination. For use on the Shop, Equip ment, Contact Maintenance (SECM). Estimated issue date is 31 October 2006. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Governmen t is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. Failure to o btain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
