- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) webpage located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Government intends to purchase machine shop fabrication and tooling service for an Ablative part in accordance with a drawing. The vendor shall provide one (1) each of the ablative part using either MXB-360 or MX-4926 material. The NAICS code is 332710 with a size standard of 500 employees. The government reserves the right to award on an ?ALL OR NONE BASIS? or to make partial awards to fulfill the needs of the government. This requirement is 100 percent set-aside for small business and FAR 52.219-6 Notice of Total Small Business Set-Aside (June 2003) is applicable. This requirement shall be awarded under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The award shall be firm fixed priced. The delivery date shall be on or before 03 November 2006. This requirement is DO rated. Award of this requirement shall be based on ability to meet the delivery schedule, price, and past performance. FOB Destination shall apply. This announcement is the only quotation being issued. Quotations are being requested and a written quotation shall not be issued. The quotation number is N00178-07-Q-1028. All interested parties shall contact the Contract Specialist at (540) 653-7478 or DLGR_NSWC_XDS11@navy.mil and indicate their interest and capability to receive the drawings. The quotation is due 17 October 2006 no later than 2:00 p.m. ? local NSWCDD time to Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Ref: N00178-07-Q-1028, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Building 183, First Floor, Room 102, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100. Anticipated award shall be made by 20 October 2006. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren Laboratory Procurement Division has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition arena; therefore, this synopsis with any applicable amendments will be available on the World Wide Web at http://www.nswc.navy.mil/wwwDL/XD/SUPPLY/. Vendors should regularly access the NSWCDD web site to ensure that they have downloaded all amendments. In order to be eligible for award, firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). Quoters may obtain information on registration in the CCR by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Please note that the Defense Payment Office may not make payment unless the contractor is established to receive electronic funds transfer (EFT). EFT payments are based on the contractor?s EFT information contained in the CCR database.
