Description

This solicitation invites proposals for the construction of a new Postal Facility, Venice, FL ? North Port Branch located on North Port Way. The building will contain approximately 4,200 sq ft The work includes, but is not limited to, six steel columns and I beam, wood stud structure on exterior walls, concrete pavement, masonry, carpentry, wood truss roof system, asphalt shingle roofing, insulation, impact doors at vestibule, interior wood stud walls, gyp board, vinyl tile flooring, carpet, polished hard coat sealer on concrete slab, lay-in ceiling tiles, painting, store fixtures, landscaping, electrical, mechanical, utilities and other work associated with postal facilities. Bonds must be received within 10 days from receipt of Intent to Award. Notice to Proceed with construction will be issued no later than 11/17/2006. Ground MUST be moving no later than 12/1/2006. Cost range: $1,307,300 - $1,691,800 Const. time: 365 calendar days. The subcontracting goals for this contract is a minimum of 10% for minority-owned businesses, a minimum of 40% small business enterprises and minimum of 7% for women-owned businesses in accordance with solicitation Section H. 20. Participation with women owned businesses and minority owned businesses is encouraged. No Proposal Guarantee (Bid Bond) is required but a letter from your bonding company and bank ARE required (see Offerors Submittal Information). A 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond will be required of the successful offeror.
