- USCG, MLCP (vpl-1) in Oakland, CA, proposes to contract for Dry-Dock and Repairs of USCGC ADELIE (WPB 87333), home moorage in Port Angeles, WA, and USCGC SEA LION (WPB 87352), home moorage in Bellingham, WA Both vessels are 87’ patrol boats. The period of performance for CGC SEA LION will be 07 February 2007 through 20 March 2007 and CGC ADELIE will be accomplished during the period of 25 July 2007 through 04 September 2007. A geographical restriction within the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Puget Sound, WA is applicable under these availabilities. Work may include, but is not limited to the following: production control GANTT Bar chart; hull plating, underwater body inspect; hull plating, underwater body ultrasonic testing, appendages (underwater) leak test; appendages (underwater) preserve, internal; voids (non-accessible) leak test; voids (non-accessible) preserve, internal, propulsion shaft seals mechanical inspection, propulsion shaft bearings (external) check clearances, propeller clean/inspect, fathometer transducers general maintenance, sea valve (<=2.5 inches) renewal, sea valve (>2.5 inches) overhaul; rudder and rudder stocks removal & inspection, sewage holding tank clean & inspect, rudders (exterior) preserve, cathodic protection, zinc anode renewal, deck coverings (interior polymeric) reseal; temporary services, dry-dock provide; sea trials, dry-docking accomplish., exhaust port hull plating renewal, appendages (underwater) air test, voids (underwater) air test and propulsion shafting remove, inspect, and reinstall. On or about 22 August 2006, an Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be available electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Only certified 100% small business contractors may submit a bid. Only one award will be made to the responsive, responsible bidder under this solicitation. The solicitation, specifications and other pertinent information will be posted at www.fbo.gov. In order to open and download the specifications offerors must be registered at www.FedTeds.gov. Offerors are encouraged to register immediately as authorization to access the documents may take up to 48 hours from the time of registration. Drawings may be requested through FedTeds.
