- Description
- TITLE: AIRBORNE INTEGRATED TERMINAL GROUP UPDATE AND MODIFICATION.F19628-98-C-0046, Notice Of Contract Action NOCA) Contracting Office Ms. Mona T. Joseph-Scott (781) 271-6090, Contract Specialist Ms. Colleen Martin (781) 271-8490 This announcement constitutes a notice of intent that the 653d Electronic Systems Group/KCA intends to award a contract modification to the Raytheon Company (Raytheon Company, 1501 72nd Street North, St. Petersburg, FL 33710), for the Airborne Integrated Terminal Group (AITG) update and modification of the Network Centric Systems for completion of the Block 3.0 software upgrade. The contract modification will be on a sole source basis to Raytheon Company, with a required delivery date of 01 December 2008. The contract action is for software upgrades and modifications to the AITG. The AITG is a programmable UHF radio, purchased to support the requirements of high-availability assets such as the B-2, RC-135, and AWACS. The AITG radio was originally procured as an NDI radio, the USAF does not itself possess detailed hardware/software design documentation. The AITG provides two-way communications capabilities via existing UHF, VHF, and UHF Demand Assigned Multiple Access (DAMA) satellite channels for multiple airborne platforms owned by the U.S. and its allies. The AITG maintains capability to communicate with legacy communications systems, and as such is either the primary or only radio in use on most of the AITG platforms. This NOCA does not constitute a Request for Proposals. The Government will make an award based on one responsible source in accordance with 10 USC 2304(c), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Government anticipates award of the contract modification on or about 1 February 2007. Please contact Ms. Colleen Martin at colleen.martin@hanscom.af.mil , or via telephone (781) 271-8490 with questions regarding this notice NO LATER THAN 12:00 PM EST, 24 OCTOBER 2006.
