Description
On October 31, 2006, the Louisville District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be hosting an Industry Forum for the Human Resources Center of Excellence project. It is to provide attendees with a summary of this large design/construction project fo r the new administrative facility that will consolidate the Army's Human Resource Command from various locations across the U.S. to Fort Knox, KY. The Corps' MILCON Transformation RFP process will also be discussed. The forum will be held at the Kentucky International Convention Center from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm EST (noon). Potential contractors, designers, design-builders and other interested parties are invited. Please RSVP to Michael.Moore@lrl02.usace.army.mil no later than October 20, 2006, so we ca n determine the amount of participation. In the event we have a large number of participants, we may hold a second session from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on the same day. A subsequent email will be sent to everyone if this is indeed the case. This Fort Knox, KY project will create a campus for the Human Resources Center of Excellence Complex. The complex will provide facilities for 4,282 people; create a total of 897,432 square feet, with funds available to award a contract for approximately $ 180 million. This design-build project is projected to be awarded in the spring of 2007. Directions: This forum will be held at the Kentucky International Convention Center located at 221 Fourth Street, Louisville, KY 40202-4212. The forum will be conducted in the Center's Conference Theatre (Room 100). Parking is available adjacent to this building for a fee of $1/hr. The Kentucky International Convention Center is located adjacent to Louisville's 4th Street Live - a wide range of restaurants and entertainment.
