- On or about 30 October 2006, this office will issue Invitation for Bids for construction and renovation of Dormitory 230 at F.E. Warren AFB, Wyoming. The solicitation will close on or about 30 November 2006. This solicitation is UNRESTRICTED AND OPEN TO BOTH LARGE AND SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. A site visit is scheduled on 15 November 2006. Contractors interested in visiting the site of the proposed work should contact the Corps of Engineers, F.E. Warren Project Office, Mr. Jeff Kaiser at (307) 773-3006 to obtain further details (time and place o f assembly). Project Description: Dormitory 230 is a two-story, red brick facility constructed in 1908 as open-bay US Army Cavalry barracks and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Demolition work includes gutting all existing interior materials, mechanical and plumbing s ystems, and electrical systems (wiring, panels, and fixtures). Renovation and replacement will include new architectural features and materials throughout the interior (new dorm room layouts, kitchens, cabinets, carpets, tile, paint, bathrooms, windows, doors, sinks, dishwashers, cooking ranges, etc.), new mechanical systems (chiller package, ducting, piping, pumps, etc.), new plumbing piping and fixtures, new fire suppression system, and new electrical work (panels, wiring, lighting fixtures and communication upgrades). The basement area will be upgraded to include ne w game room, theater room, storage areas and administration offices. Exterior work includes new simulated slate roof, painting exterior areas, rebuilding/replacing historical front porch decks and rails, replacing some concrete stoops and steps, and cleani ng and protection of existing historical brick. Site work includes providing transformer, exterior lighting, sanitary piping, grading, landscaping (seed and plantings) and irrigation piping. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Obtaining Solicitation Documents: This office will no longer send copies via paper or CDS of amendments and solicitations to interested parties. Solicitation documents will be posted on Federal Technical Data Solutions or FedTeDS. FedTeDS is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safe guard acquisition-related information. When solicitation documents have been issued and posted to FedTeDs, synopsis or pre-solicitation notice will be amended and a link provided to access FedTeDS in note 2 below. Once you open the solicitation announcement on FedBizOpps, there will be a link provided to the solicitation on FedTeDS. Click on the link. 3. Representations and certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete.
