- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Charleston District, Charleston Office, Charleston, South Carolina, has a requirement to construct a new storm protection structure for the Morris Island Lighthouse near Charleston, South Carolina. The new s torm protection structure will generally consist of a new approximately 36-foot radius concrete encased sheet pile wall around the existing lighthouse structure with new riprap and bedding stone protection for the new wall. Work will also provide for remo val of existing debris around the existing structure. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a small business size standard of $31M. This requirement is Unrestricted. All firms regardless of size shall be eligible and encouraged to compete for this project. The project magnitude is $1-5 Million. This contract will be solicited and procured using a Request for Proposals (RFP) Best Value Trade-Off process in accordanc e with FAR Part 15.101. Contractor much be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award of this solicitation. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. The solicitation and any subse quent amendments will only be available in electronic format, downloadable from the internet. No CD-ROMs or hardcopy documents will be distributed. Offerors must register on the website below in order to view or download the solicitation documents. It i s the responsibility of the offeror to monitor the website for notices and amendments. Any prospective Offeror interested in proposing for this solicitation may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from the Federal Technical Data Solu tion (FedTeDS) Homepage (https://www.fedteds.gov/). Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via FedTeDS and will require registration for access. Interested bidders should select the Begin Vendor/Contractor Registration Process option. When Solicitation documents have been issued and posted to FedTedS, the synopsis or pre-solicitation notice in FedBizOpps w ill be amended and a link provided to access FedTedS.
