Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number W807PM-6283-8205 is being issued as a request for quote (RFQ) with the intent to award as a simplified acquisition. The solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-13. This is unrestricted under NAICS Code 721199 (SIC 7011). The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Vicksburg Mississippi, has a requirement for five rooms for a period of three m onths beginning 1 November 2006 through 31 January 2007 with the option to extend services an additional five months in one month increments through 30 June 2007. Also, an option to increase the requirement five additional rooms for a period of three month s beginning 1 November 2006 and ending 31 January 2007 with the option to extend the services an additional five months in one month increments through 30 June 2007 is solicited. This contract includes options to extend the period for lodgings. These optio ns are not guaranteed. Options may be exercised on a month by month basis. The vendor will be given a preliminary notice of the Governments intent to renew an option within 10 days of expiration of the contract. The preliminary notice does not commit the Government to an extension. Reference Clauses 52.219 Option to Extend the Term of the Contract and 52.217-8, Option to Extend the Services. Specifications are as follows: This requirement is for lodging for Federal employees assigned to support the Hurrica ne Protection Office (HPO) in New Orleans, LA. Contractor agrees that the five rooms will be reserved for use by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers or other federal employees authorized by the Vicksburg District to occupy the rooms. The Government reserves t he right to terminate part or all of this agreement within a 15 day notice to the facility without financial penalty. Prices shall be prorated if occupation is less than a full month. Security deposits shall be waived. Delivery is 1 November 2006. Award shall be made to the responsive and responsible offeror whose quote is determined to provide th e best value to the Government. Offeror shall submit with his/her quotation sufficient literature which includes descriptions of the facilitys amenities and services which are available to any occupant. FAR Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - C ommercial, applies to this acquisition. FAR Clause 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: Amenities Available and Price. The minimum amenities for this requirement are as follows: - within 10 miles of the office building located at USACE, New Orleans District, 7400 Leake Ave, New Orleans LA 70118 - 1 bed/1 bath w/living area (furnished including linen) - all utilities included with the short term corporate lease - central heat/air - basic cable or satellite tv - intrusion alarms - kitchens with appliances and dishes - laundry facilities on premises - onsite parking - once per week housekeeping services Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items with this offer. The Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions, applies to this acquisition. The Clause at 52.212-5, C ontract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. FAR Clauses 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract and 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services apply to this acquisiti on.
