- Description
- This acquisition will cover Liner, CVC Helmet; quantity 1,460 each. NSNs: 8415-01-470-2821 (Medium) & 8415-01-470-2840 (Large). The solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis. Deliveries are FOB Destination and the destinations are New Cumberland, PA and Tracy, CA. Production lead time is 180 days. First Article Testing is required. Qualified laboratories and source sampling are also required. Repair parts for the CVC Helmet shall be in accordance with applicable portions of MIL-H-44117A. The estimated solicitation release date is 26 October 2006. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DIBBS, DLA Business System Modernization Bid Board System at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/. From the DIBBS home page, select ?Request for Proposal (RFP)? on the left-hand sidebar. Then search for the RFP you wish to view. In addition, you can enter DSCP C&T FSCs and NSNs to receive notification of RFPs. DIBBS will send all registered users an e-mail notification of RFP solicitations based on your FSC and NSN profile. The NSN notification will contain a link that can connect users directly to a digital copy of the solicitation on the Internet. Drawings can be requested at http://warfighter.dla.mil. Click on Vendor Info, and then click on Specs/Pattern Request. Important Note on Foreign Content-The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statues (including what is commonly referred to as The Berry Amendment impose restrictions on the DoD?s acquisition of foreign products and services). Generally, Clothing and Textile items as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012 and ?specialty metals? (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted, or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exception applies.
