Description
This project is a US Army Corps of Engineers project using the new MILCON Transformation methodology. Design/Build of Barracks, to include spaces for a minimum of 356 Soldiers (approximately 130,296 SF), and a maximum of 380 Soldiers (approximately 139,080 SF), located at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. The building will be permanent construction, complete with associated utilities, storm drainage, communications, electric, HVAC, fire protection, paving, walks, curbs and gutters, access drives, exterior li ghting, site improvements, and landscaping. Accessibility for the disabled will be provided. Force protection measures will be incorporated into the design. The facility is intended to be similar both functionally and technically to apartment facilities in the private sector community surrounding the Installation. The estimated price range is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. This project is being solicited full and open with HUB-Zone price evaluation preference. This solicitation is the adver tisement of a 2-Phase Design/Build Best Value process. This process requires potential offerors to submit their experience and past performance in Phase 1 for review and consideration by the Government. Following the review, evaluation and rating of the Phase 1 proposals, the Government will select a maximum of five highest rated offerors to receive the technical requirements package and provide a technical, management, and cost proposal for Phase 2 for consideration by the Government. The technical info rmation contained in the Phase 2 proposal will be reviewed, evaluated, and rated by the Government. The estimated issue date is 30 October 2006, with an approximate due date for Phase 1 of 29 November 2006. This project is available by downloading from t he Internet only. Phase 2 information will be sent to the selected contractors once selected.
