- Description
- The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, District (Mobile, Alabama) has a requirement for Grounds Maintenance services for the Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. This requirement is being procured pursuant to FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items; therefore in accordance with FAR Part 12.204(b) and FAR Part 12.205(c) the contracting officer intends to allow fewer than 15 days before issuing the solicitation and fewer than 30 days before the cut-off date for receipt of proposals. This requirement will be 100% HUBZone set-aside in accordance with FAR 6.205. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, tools, supervision, materials, transportation, and other items and services necessary to ensure that the grounds m aintenance is performed at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, in accordance with the requirements of the solicitation. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price commercial contract for a base period of one year and two one year option periods. All option periods may be exercised at the unilateral discretion of the Government in accordance with FAR 17.207 and FAR Clause 52.217-9. The resultant contract will be awarded using Best Value Evaluation Criteria which will be provided in the solicitation . Mr. Leo J. Hickman is the Contracting Officer for this project. The solicitation, which will include a site visit date and other attachments, will be posted on or about 20 October 2006 with a projected closing date of 14 November 2006 for proposal receipt.
