Description
The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, District (Mobile, Alabama) has a requirement for Grounds Maintenance services for the Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. This requirement is being procured pursuant to FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items; therefore in accordance with FAR Part 12.204(b) and FAR Part 12.205(c) the contracting officer intends to allow fewer than 15 days before issuing the solicitation and fewer than 30 days before the cut-off date for receipt of proposals. This requirement will be 100% HUBZone set-aside in accordance with FAR 6.205. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, tools, supervision, materials, transportation, and other items and services necessary to ensure that the grounds m aintenance is performed at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, in accordance with the requirements of the solicitation. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price commercial contract for a base period of one year and two one year option periods. All option periods may be exercised at the unilateral discretion of the Government in accordance with FAR 17.207 and FAR Clause 52.217-9. The resultant contract will be awarded using Best Value Evaluation Criteria which will be provided in the solicitation . Mr. Leo J. Hickman is the Contracting Officer for this project. There is no cost for this solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered. The NAICS code is 561730 with a small business size standard of $6.5 millions. The solicitation, which will include a site visit date and other attachments, will be posted on or about 20 October 2006 with a projected closing date of 14 November 2006 for proposal receipt. The solicitation will be available only as a direct download. This solicitation will not be issued on CD-ROM. N either telephonic, mailed, nor fax requests will be accepted. Registration should be completed one week prior to the issue date. It is therefore the Contractors responsibility to check this web page daily for the solicitation to be posted, and for any post ed changes or amendments to this solicitation. The plans and specifications and all notifications of changes to this solicitation shall only be made through this posting and modifications hereto. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed-p aper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best interest.
