- The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has a requirement for contractor(s) with equine experience to assist the BLM in the performance of its Wild Horse and Burro Adoption Program in the Northern & Southern Eastern United States. Performance will be from January 1, 2007 through December 31, 2007 with two additional one year option periods. These adoptions will be mobile events and will be conducted from January through December of each contract year, within the states listed below. The contractor(s) will assist the BLM in haltering, loading, unloading, watering and feeding of wild horses and burros at each adoption event and will provide some of the equipment necessary to conduct a mobile adoption event. This work will be conducted predominantly in the following states: Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri and Minnesota. It is anticipated that the Government will award multiple contracts for one year plus two option years. This is not intended to be a complete list of the specifications. The full requirement will be posted in solicitation NAR070003, which will be available at http://www.fbo.gov on or about October 30, 2006. This requirement is set-aside for small business under NAICS Code 115210 (average annual receipts for the preceding 3 fiscal years not to exceed $6.5 million). Hard copies of the solicitation will not be provided. Facsimile proposals will not be accepted. Vendors must be registered at http://www.ccr.gov to be considered for award.
