- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to place a delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement N68335-04-G-0016 with McDonnell Douglas Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company. The delivery order will be for the repair of RTCASS/CASS Multi-Analog Capability Instrumentation (MAC) Kit in support of TECHEVAL/OPEVAL testing of Low Rate Initial Production RTCASS stations. Repair of the MAC spares will also be in support of fielded CASS stations. The following part numbers are associated with the CASS MAC KIT requirement: Circuit Card Assembly (P/N: AI710-00), Bus Test Instrument (P/N: BI-410-00), CIB Assembly (P/N: M-996-55-AD), and Circuit Card Assembly (P/N: 2056AS955-01). The period of performance for this effort is anticipated to be 1 NOVEMBER 2006 to 31 MARCH 2008. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement on a sole source basis with The Boeing Company, St Louis, MO under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Boeing is the original equipment manufacturer of the RTCASS. The Government does not own the technical data package. Boeing is the only source capable of ensuring that the spares function as part of an integrated system with RTCASS stations. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. This synopsis is an amendment to synopsis N68335-04-G-0016-002 posted 3 FEBRUARY 2005.
