- Description
- The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound has a requirement for a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity, Supply type contract for Flame Resistant Coveralls for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS) & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (IMF), Bremerton, WA, Pearl Harbor, HI, Portsmouth, VA, and Portsmouth, NH. The Government requires that material to manufacture the coveralls be restricted to Southern Mills, color: Heather Brown, of first quality, 8.5 ounces per yard TuffWeld. The coverall is required to have a snap front closure with protective fly, shirt style collar, elastic waistband, action back, straight-legs to fit over boots, tapered arm sleeves with snap wrist closure, two breast patch pockets with snapped flaps. The coveralls shall be constructed in accordance with the Government specifications. Bid Samples will be required. This will be manufactured 100% in USA. The requirement will be for a base year with two option year periods beginning on contract award date. Delivery will be to various locations, FOB Destination. This requirement will be solicited as commercial, 100% set-aside to Hub-Zone small businesses, using FAR Part 15. This is a pre-solicitation. A solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: http://www.neco.navy.mil. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents. No telephone or FAX requests will be accepted, and no hard-copy solicitation/amendment will be mailed or FAXed. The RFP will be issued on or about 30 Oct 2006. This procurement effort will be processed in accordance with FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items.
