Description

NEED: This acquisition will be for the development and qualification of a new alternate spring for the M201A1 Fuze; FSC 1330, NAIC 332993, used in the M18 Smoke Grenade. This will be a sole source award to Combined Systems Inc (CSI). CSI is a curre nt producer of the M201A1 Fuze and are producing a proprietary Hand Grenade Fuze for the XM104 (StingBall) which uses a CSI Spring (PN 201088) that if successful, the Government will gain the rights and will be listed as the alternate spring in the M201A1 Fuze Technical Data Package (TDP). Since the spring to be developed and qualified is proprietary to CSI, the only contractor that can execute this program is CSI. FOB Destination: Picatinny Arsenal. U.S. Army Sustainment Command (ASC) intends to award a Request for Proposal Contract, W52P1J-07-M-3000 on or about 31 October 2006. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price, small purchase contract. All contractors who provide goods/services to the Department of Defense (DoD) must be registered in the Central Contractors Register (CCR).
