- Description
- The National Science Foundation (NSF), Division of Science Resources Statistics (SRS) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for help in developing and presenting measures of patterns in trends in worldwide scientific publication. Background: publication data are used in the National Science Board’s Science Engineering Indicators (SEI), and various special reports and analyses on U.S. and international science and engineering trends. This solicitation will contain a Statement of Work that outlines four (4) major tasks consisting of required activities (Task 1-3) and optional activities (Task 4) for a prospective competitive acquisition. In recent years, SEI has reported data from the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) database. On April 12, 2006, the NSF issued a Request for Information (RFI) Number: DACS-060044. Responses were received on April 28, 2006. Information gathered in response to this RFI, was used in the development of this solicitation. This procurement is issued on a competitive basis to qualified businesses. All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer in response to the RFP for consideration by the Agency. This synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government or as a Request for Proposal. Oral communications and facsimile responses are not authorized. All questions must be submitted electronically to the National Science Foundation, Attn: Lyn Orrell, Contract Specialist, Division of Acquisition and Cooperative Support, at lorrell@nsf.gov. The anticipated contract start date will be the middle of September 2006. The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about June 19, 2006 with an anticipated offer due date on or about July 19, 2006. See Numbered Note 26.
