- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: The VA National Acquisition Center will issue Request for Proposal (RFP) VA-797-06-RP-0109 for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to procure the following Nitroglycerin Patches: Item one: 0.1MG/HR Patch, 30's, est. annual usage: 25,223; Item two: 0.2MG/HR Patch, 30's, est. annual usage: 181,880; Item three: 0.3MG/HR Patch, 30's, est. annual usage: 14,806; Item four: 0.4MG/HR Patch, 30's, est. annual usage: 233,705; Item five: 0.6MG/HR Patch, 30's, est. annual usage: 56,437; Item six: 0.8MG/HR Patch, 30's, est. annual usage: 4,500. Bar Coding requirements will be listed in the solicitation. The VA prefers to award all six strengths listed to one contractor; however, will consider awarding to one contractor that can provide, at a minimum, the following three strengths: 0.2 mg/hr, 0.4 mg/hr, 0.6 mg/hr (Items 2, 4, & 5). Award will be made in the aggregate (all or none) based on the lowest total evaluated price of all line items offered, taking into consideration the estimated quantities. VA reserves the right to add additional package sizes to the contract at a later date when they become available or if offered in a vendor's proposal. This will not affect the quantities listed in the usage requirements. The estimated quantities listed above are for VA, Dept. of Defense (DOD), Bureau of Prisons (BOP), and Indian Health Service (IHS). The contract period will be for one year plus four one-year option periods. The contract items will be distributed through the VA and DoD Pharmaceutical Prime Vendors. If the offeror is not the manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with the offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including the option years. OFFERS ARE NOT BEING SOLICITED AT THIS TIME. COMMENTS REGARDING THIS NOTICE MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN AUGUST 17, 2006. The solicitation will be available for downloading, on or about the issue date of August 22, 2006 from the VA Office of A! cquisiti on and Material Managements (O&AMM) internet web site at http://www.va.gov/oamm/busopp/sols.htm. Offers will be due by 2:00 pm Central Daylight Savings Time on September 12, 2006.
