Description
Reference Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) Sources Sought Notice 2007.009, due 30 days from the date of this ad. This is NOT an Invitation for Bid (IFB) or a Request for Proposal (RFP). The point of contact for Qualification Request Pa ckages is the Source Development Officer for the Competition Management Office (AMSTA-AQ-C) at: marketsurveys@tacom.army.mil . Under PL 98-369 (CICA), this Sources Sought Notice is seeking to identify additional suppliers for: Noun: Single Piece 22.5 inch Diameter Wheel NSN: N/A MP/N: To Replace Army Drawing # 7388820 Vehicle Application: M939 5 Ton Truck Any wheel test samples provided meet the following requirements: 1. Wheels must mount onto M939 Series Vehicles. Hub and Wheel Stud Bolt Pattern shall be identical to that on existing Army P/N 7388820 Wheel. 2. Wheel Type and Size: Single Piece Steel Wheel 22.5inch Diameter X 8.25inch Wide X 6.75inch Offset suitable for tubeless radial tire. 3. Load rating: 7400 pounds minimum 4. Inflation Pressure Rating: 120 psi minimum 5. Wheel shall conform to Tire and Rim Association and FMVSS 120 Requirements 6. Wheel design shall successfully pass SAE J1992 Dynamic Cornering and Radial Fatigue Tests prior to being submitted for government funded testing. 7. Number of wheels required for test: 14 8. The total cost for the test sample wheels shall not exceed $5000. 9. The wheels are to be provided to AM General no later than January 10, 2007. currently being procured noncompetitively. Please note that in some cases technical data may not be available. Be advised that, under the bailment program, contractors may buy or borrow sample parts for the purpose of reverse design engineering.
