Description
SOURCES SOUGHT: The Industrial Base Readiness Division of the Joint Munitions Command (JMC) is conducting a market survey of industry to identify sources that are interested in manufacturing PA-60 containers. ITEM DESCRIPTION: PA-60 containers, NSN: 8140 00 198 4697, P/N: 9234843. The PA-60 Metal Ammunition Container is used to store, handle, and ship FMU-143 Bomb Fuzes. The FMU-143 contains a limited amount of energetic materials, making protective containers a requirement. It consists of the follow ing: Shape: Rectangular, Overall Length: 12.000 inches, overall width: 6.094 inches, overall height: 13.359 inches, material: metal. REQUIREMENT: For the purposes of this survey the following requirement information is provided. We anticipate awarding a 3-year requirements contract for a minimum of 0 containers to a maximum of 2,000 containers per year. The Government anticipates having a minimum of 395 containers for the first year. CAPABILITY: A respondent to this market survey should provide reasonable documentation showing they have adequate technical capability and manufacturing capacity deliver PA-60 containers up to the stated quantities. The documentation should include at a minimum: a brief summary of your company's capabilities; description of facilities; related manufacturing experience; estimated minimum and maximum monthly production quantities; estimated prices; and the minimum procurement quantity (MPQ) required for pro duction. If a respondent chooses to utilize the services of sub-tier vendors or subcontractors for significant components, those vendors or subcontractors and their capabilities should be identified. PLANNING ONLY: This request shall be used for planning purposes only. Do not mistake this sources sought as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited . Please identify any proprietary information submitted.
