Description: NAVAIR NAWCAD Lakehurst intends to enter into a sole source delivery order with the Bell-Boeing Joint Program Office (JPO) to procure development, fabrication, and testing of specialized tooling for the Hydraulic Power Drive Unit, a component of the MV-22 Aircraft. The Government intends to procure this equipment under the authority of 10 USC 2304?(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation Section 6.302-1. Accelerated delivery of the peculiar support equipment is critical to support depot repair cability. Bell-Boeing is the only source possessing the requisite system knowledge, engineering expertise, aircraft integration information, and technical data needed to fulfill the Government?s need within the required time frame.
