Description
The Government intends to procure under full and open competition maintenance services (to include all parts, labor, and travel) of sixteen (16) radiological equipment and associated components manufactured by Fuji Medical Systems. The contractor shall provide on-site corrective repairs or 24-hour emergency service and routine preventive maintenance to meet the original equipment manufacturer?s (OEM?s) specifications. The contractor shall certify in writing that: (a) the personnel it proposes to service the equipment identified in the solicitation are trained and qualified by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to perform service and maintenance on the subject equipment, (b) the repair facility is approved by the OEM and meets the standards for an OEM repair facility, (c) that they are qualified to perform maintenance and service to all equipment covered by this requirement, (d) they have the ability to obtain parts certified by the OEM as equal or better than original manufactured components / parts (due to the nature of the equipment to be maintained no ?after market parts are acceptable?), (e) they have the ability to obtain required parts (OEM) within 48 hours, (f) they have the ability to provide all software up-dates within 30 days of release, and (g) they accept the terms and conditions as stated in the Privacy and Security of Protected Health Information clause. The radiological equipment and associated components include X-ray Film Processing (Automatic Sheet-film), Processor Digital Picture, Laser Imager, and IDT-741 ID Terminal. The requiring activity is the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP), Virginia and the radiological equipment and associated components are located in the following departments: Emergency Medical, Orthopedics, Radiology and Urology. The resulting contract will be for the base period of nine (9) months from 01 Jan 2007 through 30 Sep 2008, with four one-year options. The proposed requirement will be awarded under a Firm Fixed Price contract and will utilize procedures under FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The NAICS code is 811219. When the Request for Quote (RFQ) is issued, it may be downloaded by accessing http://www.neco.navy.mil or at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. This office no longer issues hardcopy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the offeror will be self certifying that neither the principal corporate officials or owners are currently suspended, debarred or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME. The Contracting Officer reserves the right to conduct verbal or written discussions with respect to other than price with the offerrors at anytime prior to award.
