Description

NOTE: This Sources Sought is for the attention of Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, or HUBzone businesses ONLY. Department of the Treasury, Financial Management Service (FMS), has a requirement for high speed check inserting systems. These are being implemented to replace existing check-folding/envelope wrapping systems. Kern Model 3000/3500, or Pitney Bowes Model APS (18 Series) are examples of existing machinery that will meet our needs, however this is NOT considered a brand name or equal requirement. A complete SOW is available upon request from the contact shown below, who can be reached by telephone ONLY on (202) 874-7271. E-mail requests are NOT being accepted. A commercial item type contract is envisioned. The requirement initially calls for a single system, to be used on a proof-of-concept basis, at the FMS facility in Emeryville, CA. Options are included to purchase 3 additional systems, for use at FMS facilities in Philadelphia, PA, Austin, TX, and Kansas City, KC. The requirement includes the systems, along with installation, training, and support. This announcement is being released to determine if SDVOSB or HUBzone entities exist who can fulfill this requirement. Those who are, and are interested in participating in a solicitation should contact the Contracting Officer no later than Tuesday, October 24, at 5:00 PM, EST. Electronic capability statements, line cards, and other email submittals are NOT being accepted at this time.
