- Description
- The BIA is currently planning to award a contract for Asaayi Dam Modifications. The worksite is located approximately 70 miles northwest of Gallup, New Mexico, and approximately 35 miles northeast of Window Rock, Arizona, in McKinley County, New Mexico. Assayi Dam is located on Bowl Creek. Solicitation is anticipated to be released on or about December 8, 2006. A pre-bid conference and site visit will be held on November 16, 2006 at 9:00 a.m., (local time) at the Red Lake Chapter House, Red Lake, New Mexico. There will be a tour of the Asaayi Dam Site following the meeting. Attendance is not required to participate in the solicitation, however it is encouraged. The purpose of the pre-bid conference is to enhance the Government?s ability to obtain quality construction services, at a reasonable price, increase efficiency in proposal preparation, proposal evaluation, negotiation, and contract award. Pre-Solicitation documents and information can be requested in writing via fax to Lynelle Benallie, Fax No. (505) 863-8382. A map will be included for directions to Red Lake Chapter House. The Bureau of Indian Affairs is planning a firm, fixed-price construction contract. This will be a full and open competition acquisition, and is set-aside for small business. The estimated dollar value of this procurement is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Technical questions must be submitted by November 13, 2006.
