Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Contracts Division, Code 2.5.1.2, Webster Field St Inigoes, Maryland intends to issue an Indefinate Quantity, Indefinate Delivery type of contract for orders with Dawn VME Products., 47915 Westinghouse Drive, Fremont, CA 94539-7483. The acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other service or supply will satisfy the agency requirements. Dawn VME Products is the original equipment manufacturer and provider of the Backplanes, Card Cages, and ancillary equipment to support the AN/UPX-24(V) Mode V Interrogator Set Project used with the AN/TPX-42A(V) radar with Field Change 2 (FC2) for the Shipboard Air Traffic Control (ATC) System. Dawn VME Products is also the only vendor capable of providing replacement parts and any future support due to proprietary rights. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Contracts shall consider all responses. Responses without a return address, mailing address, and company telephone number will not be recognized. Proprietary data in the responses will be protected where so designated. NOTE: Contractors must be registered in the Central Contract Registration (CCR), www.ccr.gov database to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DoD activity. A determination not to compete this proposed contract, based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement as a sole source basis based upon the responses received. The Government will not pay for any information received.
