Description

This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for COMMERCIAL ITEMS in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicita tion; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ), W15P7T-06-Q-D453. The small size standard for number of employees is 750 from the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 335312. The U.S. Army intends to procure Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) parts for 100/200 kW Generator Sets. Additionally, a 100% One Year Option will be included. The Government intends to solicit on a limited source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1; O nly One Responsible Source to Caterpillar, Caterpillar authorized dealers or companies with a business relationship with Caterpillar. Only authorized resellers of Caterpillar may submit offers for this solicitation. Only those contractors quoting all Nati onal Stock Numbers solicited will be considered for this acquisition. Solicitation requirements and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circulars. This acquisition is under the terms and conditions of a Firm-Fixed Price one year contract with a 100% option which may be exercised any time up to 360 Days After Award (DAC). The proposed delivery schedule is 3 each 30 DAC; NSN: 2915-01-521-8527, Pump, Fuel Metering and Distributing, Caterpillar Part Number 162-9608. Quantity is for 3. The proposed delivery schedule is 3 each 30 DAC; NSN: 2915-01-521 -8941, Injector Assembly, Fuel, Caterpillar Part Number 178-0199. Quantity is for 36. The proposed delivery schedule is 36 each 30 DAC; NSN: 2910-01-521-8228, Controller, Fuel Pump, Caterpillar Part Number 2405303. Quantity is for 3. The proposed deliv ery schedule is 3 each 30 DAC; NSN: 2915-01-521-8055, Nozzle, Fuel Injection, Caterpillar Part Number 212-3467. Quantity is for 36. The proposed delivery schedule is 36 each 30 DAC; and NSN: 2990-01-521-8000, Control Unit, Governor, Caterpillar Part Numb er 198-9252. Quantity is for 3. The proposed delivery schedule is 3 each 30 DAC. Shipments are to be FOB Destination. Actual delivery dates and locations will be definitized at time of award. Packaging will be in accordance with C-E-LCMCs Special P ackaging Instruction (SPI), SPI # AG00000605. C-E-LCMC certifies that no Ozone Depleting chemicals are specified and the items being purchased do not contain Information Technology as defined by FAR 2.101. The contractor shall submit a Certificate of Con formance for this contract. This certificate shall state the items being procured were manufactured and sold by Caterpillar and conform to Caterpillars performance specifications.
