Description
The U.S. Army, Fort Carson, Colorado intends to negotiate a sole source multi year IDIQ contract with NEK Advanced Securities Group, Inc, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, to provide Special Operations personnel with training for Tacti cal-Evasive Driving procedures to support the Global War On Terror (GWOT) and ASOT, Broken Axel, Level II classes for the 10th SFG (A) and associated units with the preponderance of the training being conducted at Fort Carson and vec. The Tactical Driving Course, built of GWOT Lessons Learned includes procedures to improve proficiency in tactical on/off road driving techniques, evasive and related maneuvers, transportation security, and convoy operations utilizing primarily contractor provided vehicles. T he purpose of the ASOT, Broken Axel, Level II training is to prepare unit members for successful completion off the ASOT, Broken Axel, Level III instruction presented by the SOC at Fort Bragg, N.C. This is sole source procurement under the Simplified Acqu isition Procedures, and Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.320-1). THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES, however; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 5 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in SUFFICIENT detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed above. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Drago Inc. Re sponses are due 301200 OCT 2006 (MST). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail. Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted.
