VRR 06-040 2.0 REFERENCES/ENCLOSURES 2.1 References 2.1.1 NAVSEA Dwg 521-6580677 Salt Water Diagram 2.1.2 NAVSEA Dwg 255-6580673 Steam Condensate and Drain System 2.1.3 NAVSEA Dwg 534-6580234, 0235, Fresh Water Drain Collectin Tank 2.1.4 NAVSEA Dwg 534-6580232, 0233 Contaminated Drain Collecting Tank 2.2 Enclosures 2.2.1 None. 3.0 ITEM LOCATION/DESCRIPTION/QUANTITY 3.1 LOCATION: 3.1.1 Engine Room. 3.2 DESCRIPTION 3.2.1 14 inch Saltwater Piping Port side engine room 3.2.2 Boiler System Condensate Drain Piping 3.3 QUANTITY 3.3.1 Approximately 12 feet of 14 inch OD, 90/10 CuNi pipe 3.3.2 Approximately 5 feet of 8 inch 90/10 CuNi pipe 3.3.7 35 ft 2 inch Schedule 80 steel pipe 3.3.8 Pipe insulation for all repairs. 4.0 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT/MATERIAL/SERVICE 4.1 Desc/Quantity 4.1.1 4 ea; 14inch 90/10 CuNi Flange 4.1.2 2 ea; 8 inch 90/10 CuNi flanges 4.1.3 1 ea; 14-8 inch reduces, 90/10 CuNi. 4.1.4 1 ea; 14 inch ?TEE? 90/10 CuNi 5.0 NOTES: 5.1 All Welding shall be accomplished using ABS guidelines and Standards. 5.2 Ensure that all systems are properly ?tagged-out? by ships force prior to commencing any work. . 6.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: None Additional 7.0 STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIRED 7.1 Provide all labor and material to renew piping systems noted in Para 3.2. 7.2 Isolate and crop existing pipe needing repair per the MSFSC REP. 7.3 Blank all pipe openings. 7.4 Renew all pipe hangers 7.5 Target and template new pipe sections from original. 7.6 Perform in-shop Hydrostatic testing of all New or repaired valves to 125% of rated pressure. MSC REP shall witness ALL testing. 7.7 Perform hydrostatic testing of pipe repairs. Salt Water System pressure is 30 psi. Testing to equal 125% of rated pressure. 7.8 Re-install piping and valves when repairs and testing are complete. MSCREP shall be witness to all pipe alignments prior to tightening. Tighten pipe hangars, 7.9 Work areas shall be maintained in a clean workmanlike manner. All dirt and debris shall be removed from the ship and properly disposed of at the end of each shift. 7.10 Renew all valve insulation blankets as required. Submit a condition report to the MSC REP for approval. 7.11 Prep, Prime and paint all new and disturbed areas to match surroundings. 8.0 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: None additional.
