Description
This is the first amendment to original Presolicitation Notice number W911W6-06-D-0017. The following are the changes: 1. The presolicitation number is amended to W911W6-07-D-0002. Please refer to this new number for all correspondence relating to th is notice. 2. The response date for this amendment is November 10, 2006. 3. The anticipated award date for the IDIQ contract is November 30, 2006. 4. The minimum contract requirement is $250,000. 5. The following is an addition or clarification to the desc ription section: The scope of the anticipated contract will include non-personal engineering and technical services covering all platforms where Boeing is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and will encompass all of the following: engineering analys is, test and technical support to insert/integrate and test various technologies on the Boeing product line for the U.S. Army and other technical services. The technologies may involve Government, contractor, or third party concepts, or customer initiative s to improve the capability of, expand the service life of, or correct deficiencies for the Boeing product line for the U.S. Army. Award of multiple contracts were considered but due to the scope and complexity of the effort and that Boeing is the OEM, awa rd of multiple contracts is not deemed appropriate or practicable. Boeing is the designer, developer and holds the intellectual property rights to the rotorcraft/UAV data associated with the work contemplated to be accomplished under the contract. McDonnel l Douglas Helicopter Company, doing business as MDHC, a Boeing subsidiary and also known as Boeing Mesa will be awarded the basic contract and will act in the capacity as overall contract administrator. The contract will contain varying contract line item types to include cost-plus-fixed-fee, possibly fixed price and Time and Materials to allow for flexibility in pricing of orders, quick turnaround in execution and sharing of risk where appropriate.
