- HPO, SHORTENED PROCUREMENT SCHEDULE FOR ACQUISITION OF PUMPS FOR THE HURRICANE PROTECTION OFFICE, NEW ORLEANS. UNRESTRICTED PROCUEMENT. The Hurricane Protection Office, located at the USACE New Orleans District, has a requirement for furnishing all labor, equipment, and material to furnish 19 diesel engines, right angle speed reducers, and vertical axial flow pumps and the necessary support systems. All engines shall be furnished complete with the necessary auxiliaries and all other parts and acces sories required for proper installation, operation, and maintenance. A PTO and Clutch Assembly are also required for each engine. The project locations are 17th Street Canal and London Ave. Canal in Orleans Parish, New Orleans, LA. Project Plans and spec ifications will be made available when the solicitation package is issued. Selection will be made using Best Value procedures. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS WILL BE A SIGNIFICANTLY SHORTENED PROCUREMENT SCHEDULE. IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT OFFERORS WILL ONLY HAVE 1 0 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF ISSUANCE OF THE SOLICITATION TO SUBMIT THEIR OFFERS. THE ISSUE DATE OF THE SOLICITATION IS UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME, SO POTENTIAL SUPPLIERS SHOULD MONITOR FEDBIZOPS FOR THAT ISSUANCE. NAICS CODE: 333911. This is an UNRESTRICTED soli citation. All qualified business concerns may submit offers. Offers from large business firms must comply with FAR 19.7 and FAR Clause 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for submission of a subcontracting plan. The US Army Corps of Engineers FY 06 subcontr acting goals are for specified percentages of the contractor's total planned subcontracting amount to be placed with the following: Small Business 51.2%; Small Disadvantages Business, 8.8%; Women-Owned Small Business, 7.3%; Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned S mall Business, 1.5%; and HUBZone Small Business, 3.1%. For security reasons, all technical and engineering data related to this solicitation will be distributed using the Federal Technical Data Solutions (FedTeDS) system. FedTeDS is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition-related in formation for all Federal agencies. Interested bidders must register with FedTeDS before accessing the system.
