Description
This is a Request for Information (RFI). HQ AMC/A3KRS is conducting market research to identify air carriers that are capable of transporting up to two caskets, and a minimum of two additional passengers (escorts) (up to eight passengers (escorts plus an honor guard) are desired). 110 movements per month are estimated (average of up to four per day; multiple stops allowed). The average distance is 1500 NM one way, departing from Dover AFB, DE. The approximate size of a casket and air tray is 92 inches X 37 1/2 inches X 23 1/2 inches. We are required to conduct market research as part of acquisition planning. This agency is interested in obtaining responses to this RFI from prospective contractors, but no contractor shall be reimbursed for providing this information; therefore, the Air Force will accept the requested information in whatever format it is provided. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 481211. The SBA size standard for this NAICS is 1500 employees. All information provided by the contractor will become property of the Air Force and will not be returned.
