- US Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, intends to procure services of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment (except materials and equipment provided in the specifications to be furnished by the Government)and performing all work in strict accordance with the contract specifications and schedules forming parts thereof for repairing and modifying the U.S. Survey boat FLORIDA, principal dimensions and physical data of which are as follows. Length, overall 64 feet 11 inches, Bea m, molded 18 feet 2 inches, Displacement, Long Tons (2,240 lbs) 71, Draft, light 5 feet 0 inches (approx), Material of hull and house Aluminum (type 5086). Repairs will consist of, but not be limited to, such items as docking and lay day, aluminum plate an d shapes, welding services, exterior painting, tailshaft, shaft bearings, recondition propellers, rub rail, rudders and bearings, anodes, port generator, and trim planes. Vessel inspection using U.S. Coast Guard guidelines. The vessel will be made availab le on or about 20 November 2006 not to exceed 15 calendar days, 04 December 2006, for completetion of repairs. A firm-fixed price commercial item contract is considered for this acquisition. This procurement is being issued as a 100% Small Business set-asi de in accordance with FAR 52.219-6. The NAICS code is 336611 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employee Liquidated damages will be a part of any job order awarded and may be applied for failure to complete the work within the designated perform ance period. The solicitation number: W912EP-07-T-0003 will be issued on or about 31 October 2006 and offers due on or about 10 November 2006.
