Description
THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI), NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS AT THIS TIME. INDUSTRY IS WELCOMED TO PROVIDE INFORMATION ON COTS SOFTWARE AS DESCRIBED HEREIN. General Information: The United States Secret Service (USSS) operates the James J. Rowley Training Center (JJRTC), a large campus with multiple facilities. It is seeking a comprehensive facility maintenance system to keep track of routine as well as ad-hoc maintenance issues. The USSS would prefer to use a Consumer Off the Shelf (COTS) system with minimal customization rather than develop a custom, proprietary system for this purpose. Such a system should include, but not be limited to, the following functionality: Track routine / scheduled facility maintenance for multiple buildings Tickle (send automatic reminders) about routine / scheduled maintenance Automatically create / send reports of overdue maintenance create checklists of required maintenance for any given facility Allow for various roles (e.g. user, maintenance personnel, maintenance supervisor, et al) / levels of security - configurable by system admin Allow users to submit ad hoc maintenance requests Notify designated maintenance personnel of user submitted requests Create / send maintenance completion summaries on a scheduled (e.g. monthly, quarterly, annually, etc) or ad hoc basis. Ability to upload or otherwise link to / store documents / files (such as .jpgs) related to the facility Ability to import information from external systems ( in delimited text format - .txt, .csv, etc) The system must adhere to the following technical specifications: User interface should be web-based (Microsoft IIS) Backend database must be Oracle 10g or MS SQL (Oracle preferred) The objectives of this RFI are: 1) to determine the availability of COTS software that would meet the needs of the JJRTC Facility Maintenance staff ; 2) to improve the overall understanding of what COTS options are available for facility maintenance tracking; and 3) to invite industry to submit information that will allow USSS to assess the partnering opportunities that exist within industry. Data/Information Requested: Private Sector Industry is invited to submit written capability statements. Points of contact for follow-up communications will be noted. The contractor?s documentation shall include a description of the software?s functionality, the system requirements, any relevant customer contacts, and a summation of information the contractor will require to provide a cost proposal. It is not the Services intent to publicly disclose vendor proprietary information obtained during this RFI. To the full extent that is protected pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and other laws and regulations, information identified by a respondent as Proprietary or Confidential will be kept confidential. THIS RFI IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, NOR DOES IT CONSTITUTE A CURRENT OR FUTURE GOVERNMENT REQUIREMENT. IT IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT. ANY INFORMATION, OR DATA, PROVIDED TO THE GOVERNMENT IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY AND AT NO COST TO THE GOVERNMENT. All interested parties may either submit their packages via email to Patricia.Kiely@usss.dhs.gov or mail.
