Description
The purpose of this amendment is to modify the Brand Name requirement of this Synopsis to include brand name or equivalent items in accordance to the FAR Part 11.104. Quotes for Brand Name equivalent items will be accepted. For any equivalent items quoted, vendors shall provide the salient characteristics of each line item in their quote and the proposed brand name equivalent system must provide the output receptacles listed below and must include a network card for monitoring via SNMP.
Output Receptacles: (4) L6-20R, (4) L6-30R and (12) 5-20R
Note 1 - Some SSA locations will use the four L6-20R output receptacles and other locations will use the four L6-30R output receptacles. Not all eight receptacles will be used simultaneously, but it is required that each UPS system provide all eight receptacles so that the agency has the flexibility to upgrade network equipment or power supplies to high capacity without modifying the UPS system. In the APC solution, the four L6-30R receptacles are built into the UPS chassis and the four L6-20R receptacles are provided via a rack-mount power distribution unit.
Note 2 - To provide circuit diversity, the twelve 5-20R output receptacles must be split across two output circuit breakers. Router-1, Radio-1, and Encrypter-1 will be plugged into the first circuit, while Router-2, Radio-2 and Encrypter-2 will be plugged into the second circuit. In the APC solution, the twelve 5-20R receptacles are provided via a rack-mount power distribution unit.
Due to this change, the response date has been extended to November 6, 2006.
