Size: 15.2 inches diameter X 2 inches high. Form/Fit/Function: Provides sealing capability of hot gases through the first stage of the high pressure turbine. Predominant Material: Nickel Alloy-AMS 5599. Quantity range: 89/ 177/ 266 each. Applicable to: F100-PW-200/220 Engine. Destn: Foreign Military Sales. Delivery: 15 per month, beginning 30 Nov 2007. This is a source controlled item. Only sources listed are qualified. Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. Qualification requirements and standards are available. The approximate issue date will be 17 November 2006. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. To: Pratt & Whitney, East Hartford, CT (CAGE: 52661), Smiths Aerospace Components, Terre Haute, IN (CAGE: 16126), Ferrotherm, Cleveland, OH (CAGE: 01993). No telephone requests. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor is acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. First Article test required unless waiver conditions specified in solicitation are met. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. Award will not be withheld pending qualification of other sources. Potential sources are not to utilize intellectual property of third parties without appropriate authorization of the intellectual property owner. Potential sources are cautioned that no part of the Government qualification requirement is intended to endorse or encourage the improper use of intellectual property developed by the Original Equipment Manufacturer of any other third party. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
