- Sources Sought Interested Parties TACOM-RI requests information prior to release of any resultant solicitation. The information within this notice is based on the best and most current information available to date. This information is subject to ch ange and is not binding upon the Government. Updated information will be provided in a subsequent notice or synosis, if and when necessary. TACOM-Rock Island is seeking to identify POTENTIAL SOURCES who have the capability to reset the Forward Repair Sys tem (FRS). Reset is work performed to correct equipment faults that are above the field level. That is, bringing the unit up to Fully Mission Capable Standards, not necessarily like new condition. The FRS provides Organizational and Direct Support Level Maintenance and Repair of Combat Systems in the Forward Battle Area. It consists of a 100,000lb lifting capable Crane, manufactured by Grove Crane, a 35KW Generator, manufactured by Cummins, an Air Compressor, manufactured by Ingersoll Rand and a Tool Lo ad supplied by Snap-On Industrial. It may be required to consult, purchase parts, or equipment from these manufactures or their distributors. PM-SKOT would provide all tool loads or individual tools through Snap-On Industrial. PM-SKOT requires these ser vices beginning on January 2007. A brief description of the FRS and the RESET effort is available at https://aais.ria.army.mil/AAIS/Solinfo/MARKET_SURVEYS/market.htm. Quantities are not known at this time, but is estimated that approximately 50 per year would be required. The following information is requested: Delivery Schedule (estimated length of time to reset) and Estimated Price per unit. Any response to this notice should include the following information: Company name, point of contact, address , telephone and fax number, email address, brief description of company and capabilities, experience area, size, history, CAGE Code and/or Tax-ID number, large business or small business category, HUBZone, or any other information that you feel wold be per tinent. NOTE: No solicitatin is issued at this time. Participation in this effort is strictly voluntary with no cost or obligation to be incurred by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government will in no way be obligated to purchase all or any part of the items described above. The U.S. Government is providing this information as general information only. The U.S. Government will in no way be bound to this information and responses received if or when any solicitation is issued. NOTICE TO ALL CONTRACTORS : All contractors who provide goods/services must be registered in ORCA. You may register via the Internet at http://www.bpn.gov/orca.
