- Description
- SPECIAL NOTICE: The United States Government Accountability Office (GAO) intends to issue an order under other than full and open competition to Audimation Services, 1250 Wood Branch Park Dr., Suite 480, Houston, TX, 77079 for the purchase of IDEA software annual support and maintenance of GAO?s installed base of IDEA network and single user version software. The Period of Performance of this order will be comprised of a Base Year ending 11/30/07 and four subsequent option years, ending 11/30/2011. The maintenance support to be acquired through this acquisition provides bug fixes and version release upgrades to GAO?s installed base of IDEA software, of which GAO owns and maintains 30 Desktop User network licenses and 98 Single User licenses, as well as limited technical support. Since IDEA is one of a variety of software tools used by GAO staff in conducting analysis of work data, having timely and current maintenance and technical support is warranted to ensure operational issues are resolved in a timely manner transparent to the end-user. Under this proposed acquisition GAO may also include options for augmenting its installed base of IDEA licenses as required through the life of the contract. Audimation is the exclusive US distributor of IDEA. There are no other companies known to provide similar services. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See Note 22.
