- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/Request For Information (RFI). In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation part 10.002(iii) the U.S. Coast Guard is conducting market research to determine the existence and interest of possible sources to provide a series of two week maintenance training courses for the T56 A-15 engine utilized on the HC 130H aircraft. The training is to take place in both a classroom setting and a shop/lab environment at the contractor site three times a year with approximately 5 students per class. Eighty percent of instruction time shall be ?hands-on? training. Topics to be addressed in training include but are not limited to the following: familiarization with the description and operations of T-56 A-15 engine systems, familiarization of maintenance, inspection and troubleshooting procedures, familiarization of hot section disassembly, inspection and reassembly procedures, familiarization of reduction gear box disassembly, inspection and reassembly procedures, and familiarization of fuel control and temperature datum system calibration procedures. Interested companies are encouraged to respond to this announcement as soon as possible. Responses should include a) name and address of contractor; b) Cage Code; c) point of contact including name, title, phone, and email address; d) indicate if training requested is of a type customarily available in the commercial marketplace, of a type customarily available in the commercial marketplace with modifications, or used exclusively for governmental purposes; E) state whether the business is currently classified as Large, Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), HubZone Small Business, Women Owned, Veteran Owned, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small business in terms of the NAICS code; f) GSA Contract information if applicable, and other information that provides the Coast Guard with a more accurate picture of the potential marketplace for any subsequent requirement. This notice does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as an offer or a quote. Respondents deemed fully qualified will be considered in any resulting future solicitation. All submitted materials will be designated for Government Use Only. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and any follow-up information requests.
