- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistics Command, Atlantic, intends to issue a sole source contract to Ashland Water Technologies Company to supply a Drew Marine Division Sample Conditioning, Analysis and Chemical Feed System, 12 months of chemical treatment and associated spare parts in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. This system shall be installed on the USCGC Dallas. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all quotes received within 5 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. The intent of this notice is to determine if there are any other capable sources available to provide these services. Your firm must be able to provide a sample conditioning, analysis and chemical feed system consisting of seven (7) major components. The components consist of the following (1) Sentry Model SL-200L Sample Conditioning Panel for controlling the temperature, pressure, and flow rate of the continuous boiler water sample to the adjacent analyzers. The panel shall include: (a) automatic sample inlet valve to switch the sample source between the two boilers 110 VAC (b) Sample cooler ? model TLF-44B5 with stainless steel cooling water inlet and outlet valves; cooler tubing is inconel 625; (c) Shell is 90/10 CuNi for use with seawater cooling service (d) pressure reducing and flow control valve (e) Sentry thermal shutoff valve with limit switch to protect analysis equipment and other components from damage in the event of a thermal excursion (f) Total flow indicator (g) Back pressure/relief valve (h) Temperature indicator (i) Pressure relief waste from Back Pressure Relief Valve (j) Sample sink to collect grab sample (k) Flow indicator w/needle flow to set sample flow rate to flow cells (l) 1 pH Probe, Thornton Model #303 (m) 1 Conductivity Cell, Thornton Model #240 (2) Analysis & Remote Control Panel consisting of: (a) Panel components mounted in electrical enclosure (NEMA4) approx 38? high x 30? wide (b) Dual channel analyzer, Thornton model 6822 & 6322 (110 VAC) (c) 2 position selector switch and 2 indicator lights display selected operating mode (d) 4 position selector switch for selection of sample source (e) Remote control module (110 VAC) for remote monitoring of analyzer panel and control of chemical feed pumps (f) Junction blocks for electrical interconnection with other modules (3) Chemical Feed Rack to hold: (a) 2 chemical drums (b) 2 metering pumps, Prominent Model BT5a with 2-stage suction assy (c) 2 automatic 3-way pump discharge valves (d) Junction box for wiring of pumps and valves, 110 VAC (4) Temperature element and Temperature Transmitter Sending Unit (a) 1 temperature probe 316 Stainless Steel. Range is 0-150 degrees C. Probe housing, bushing type with ?? NPT into tank and ?? NPT for probe (b) 24 VDC transmitter model 81/82000 4-20 mA (5) Blowdown valves, this shall include: 2 Worcester automatic blowdown control valve model VP-300 (6) Treatment chemicals and manual testing and recording equip/software (7) Remote logging PC. This purchase order will be awarded using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.
