- The Screening Information Request (SIR) is for full and open competition. Screening information allows the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to determine which offeror(s) will provide the FAA with the best value. The FAA has appointed an Integrated Product Team (IPT) who will evaluate each response received and make a selection of qualified offerors based on the evaluation criteria established in the SIR. The SIR evaluation process may involve over the phone or face to face negotiations with one or more offerors. The intent of these negotiations is for the FAA evaluators, or IPT, to gain a better understanding of the proposed project and/or to clarify evaluation information submitted by the offeror(s). All offerors that are eliminated from the competition will be notified in writing. Below is a brief description of work to be performed. This project includes, but is not limited to: ??? Removing the window gaskets and replacing them ??? Wet seal the exterior, all exterior gaskets ??? Refurbish the double gaskets for the operable windows and replace them ??? Refurbish/reseal all gaskets, joints, insulation of the window units ??? Remove silicone sealants and return to new condition ??? Clean all window and surfaces within the scope of this work ??? Provide a good seal preventing moisture and air from entering the building Project Size: $100,000.00 - $250,000.00 Requests for the solicitation package must be submitted in writing to Angela Mihalek, FAA, ANM-53, 1601 Lind Ave., SW, Renton, WA 98057; by fax at: (425) 227-1055; or by email at: Angela.Mihalek@faa.gov Site visits will be held on Wednesday, November 29th, at 1pm and Thursday, November 30th, at 10am, at the Denver TRACON. Solicitation packages will be available on or about November 21st. CLAUSES AND PROVISIONS 3.3-1 Clauses and Provisions Incorporated by Reference (September 2002) This screening information request (SIR) or contract, as applicable, incorporates by reference one or more provisions or clauses with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. This percentage may be reduced by a supplemental agreement to this contract if, during performing the work, the Contractor requests a reduction and the Contracting Officer determines that the reduction would be to the advantage of the Government. Prospective offerors are hereby notified that employees of A.I.M. Incorporated, a private contractor to the Government, may be used in evaluating offers received under this SIR.
