Description
The following questions from industry have been received: Q1) First, what limits are intended for the fuze on the outgoing ordnance, in terms of g-forces and volume? A1)The maximum g-force would be 600 G. The max volum would be 4 inches in length with a 4 to 5 inch diameter. Q2) I believe you would gather better data if you indicated what munitions you are contemplating outfitting: tank shells? .50 rounds? mortar shells? A2) The munition is a rocket propelled counter munition. Q3) Is the proximity fuze supposed to work stand-alone, or can it be tied to a ladar system fixed at the emplacement being defended? A3) The soultion is up to the individual offeror. The following may help in your decision; the closing velocity for the countermunition and the threat as they approach each other can be up 2300 m/s, and the radial distance between threat and countermunition can be up to 4 meters.
