Description
The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity intends to award a contract on a non-competitive basis for the purchase and delivery of Transmembrane GFC-Array  2,464 transfection ready cDNA plasmids in 384 well format (3 sets) containi ng 60ng per well covering genes encoding for transmembrane domains. The anticipated award will be made under the Authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, to OriGene Technologies, Inc., Six Taft Court, Suite 100, Rock ville, MD 20850. Specifically, FAR 6.302-1(b)(2), states, the existence of limited rights in data&make the supplies&available from only once source. The United States Army Medical Institute for Infectious Disease (USAMRIID) needs this Array. OriGene Technologies is the only commercial source for normalized arrays of full-length human cDNA clones designed for high throughput screening for gene function analyses. OriGenes GFC-Arrays are derived from their collection of human full-length cDNA clones called TrueCones which is the most comprehensive commercial collection of human full-length cDNA clones. OriGenes GRC-Arrays have been used and validated by a number of large pharmaceutical companies and academic researchers. These efforts have resulted in numerous peer-reviewed publications of the method and tool. The Transmembrane GFC array is a selected array of specific cDNAs that encode for proteins that traverse the cellular membrane. No other company has put together such an array. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice.
