Description
This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS / SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) Q1574070001. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. FAR clauses and provisions enclosed within this RFQ are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-04 and are available in full text through Internet access at http://www.arnet.gov/far. The National Park Service encourages the participation of small, disadvantaged and women owned business enterprises. Applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes are 441229 with a small business size standard is $6.5M and 532120 with a small business size standard of $23.5M. Yellowstone National Park is seeking contractors who can lease snowmobiles to the park as described below: Number of Snowmobiles and delivery and Pickup: Provide Yellowstone National Park with 20 Snowmobiles for a period of three months starting Jan. 1 and ending March 31, 2007. Vendor shall deliver all snowmobiles to Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone Park, WY or West Yellowstone, MT no later then January 1, 2007. At the end of the season all snowmobiles will be gathered at either the Mammoth Hot Springs area or the West entrance area for pickup. Type of Snowmobiles: All snowmobiles must meet Best Available Technology requirements published by the park website location: www.nps.gov/yell/parkmgmt/current_batlist.htm All snowmobiles must be capable of traveling at speeds of at least 45 miles per hour for a minimum of 85 miles without re-fueling. All snowmobiles need to be equipped with at least a 660 cc four stroke naturally aspirated motor. All snowmobiles must be two-up touring machines no older then 2006 model years with no more then 500 miles. Repair Agreement: Vendor must be able to provide breakdown service to all locations within Yellowstone National Park. If any snowmobile can not be repaired within 72 hours of breakdown a replacement snowmobile must be supplied until a time that the broken snowmobile can be repaired. Warranty work and normal wear and tear will be repaired at the expense of the vendor. Damage resulting from misuse and accidents will be repaired at the expense of the National Park Service. QUOTES ARE DUE for this combined synopsis/solicitation on November 24, 2006, 2006 at 4:30 PM Mountain Daylight time and shall be delivered by the specified time to the National Park Service, Mammoth Supply Center, Bldg 34, Yellowstone National Park WY 82190, ATTN Contracting Office. Facsimile Quotations are acceptable with all required documentation, no oral quotations will be accepted. Quoters must furnish the company name, DUNS number, TIN Number, address, phone and fax number, email address if available, and official point of contact.
