Description

The scope of work for this project shall include but not be limited to the design services to renovate shell space in Building 40 to create a flexible modular environment for the Center for Prevention of Blindness research facility. The construction work entails expanding the existing HVAC, electrical, lighting, and plumbing systems to accommodate the Center. Architectural work includes sheetrock and modular wall systems to create restrooms, labs, and conferencing space. Firm selected will provide contract documents with architectural, mechanical and electrical to match footprint provided. A/E contract will include design (with reviews), reproduction of bid documents, construction period services, final inspections and as-built drawings. Estimated construction cost range is $250,000 to $500,000. The area of consideration is limited to a 75 mile radius of this facility. A/E SERVICES SHALL BE RESERVED FOR EMERGING SMALL BUSINESSES. Firms desiring consideration shall submit their qualifications and past performance on SF 330 (Architect Engineer Qualifications) and, for any consultants, on SF 330 Extra Sections E and F no later than 12/14/2006.
